Baron Hues was founded in 2024, but George, the man behind the brush, has been painting since 2021. His passion, though, goes back to his early academic years.

We’re a small team with a distinct set of skills, working on carefully selected projects across Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire — including period homes where the craft, history and details matter.

  1. The Beginning

    From the arts to the brush

    It all started after secondary school. It was always about the arts, the details, and the craft. George was naturally drawn to creative work, so he pursued formal studies in Art and Design. After several years in a different industry, he returned to creative work and began building his career in decorating.

  2. The Studio

    Baron Hues is born

    What began quietly has grown beyond anything he expected. As George's reputation grew, the work developed into something more established and Baron Hues was born. The name reflects the character of the business: respect for traditional craftsmanship, an eye for colour and a high standard of finish.

    We're a small team with a distinct set of skills. Our backgrounds span Art and Design, Graphic Design, and Social Sciences with a specialisation in History. This combination of creative and practical experience has helped shape both the business and the service we offer.
